Ashtanga Inspired
For those who need grounding through routine. A strong physical practice that turns into moving meditation. I teach led half primary, throwing in alignment instructions to keep the body safe. We hold poses for 5 breaths and it rains vinyasas!
Vinyasa flow
Creative sequences that use fluid movement to bring extra special awareness to the connection between body, breath and mind. All my vinyasa classes offer modifications and extra challenges to cater to all levels of practive.
Hatha yoga
Great for beginners and non. Alignment focused practice that builds strength and flexibility through longer holds, and brings focus and calm to both body and mind. And I love to throw all the props in. Props are our friends!!
YIN YOGA
Targeting connective tissues/fascia, TCM meridian lines and acupressure points, this slower and deeper practice activates our Parasympathetic Nervous System bringing calm and relaxation to body and mind. Each pose is held between 3 and 5 mins to experience the full effects. Perfect to complement a stronger practice and finding length in the muscles. Some nice ambient music, our favourite props and… relax away!
ALIGNMENT BASED
Reflecting my own personal practice, this class is a mix between vinyasa flow and hatha. Some poses will be held longer, giving the opportunity to marinate in sensations and feelings, as well as focus on alignment. We play with curiosity and mindfulness to discover what our body needs the most, and using activation and subtle movements to find stability, safety and grace. Elementary school geometry will be mentioned and props use welcome :)
Lazy sunday morning
This class is suitable during pregnancy as well as for new moms.
A great way to ease into Sunday. We start slow: listening, connecting, breathing, stretching and creating space. Then we flow through modified sun salutes and a couple of standing sequences (we also plank, but not too much). We close on the back, for some proper chilling out before diving into savasana
